BUG review
This hotel right on The Strand is one of the oldest buildings in Tauranga (dating from 1913) and has a fair bit of character. There are 80 beds on two floors; rooms are generally clean and well-maintained, but some parts of the building are a bit worn. The main attraction here is the fabulous rooftop deck, with tremendous views over the harbour. It makes a great place to hang out. The attached common room and big kitchen are sunny and very inviting as well. Internet PCs are near reception, there are also free bikes, and the management is good at finding temporary work for travellers.
