BUG review
This place is a few minutes’ drive out of town. It consists of a few long cabins with dorms and double rooms, plus several small huts used as an alternative to camping. These are the cheapest beds in town, and although they are no-frills, they beat sleeping on the ground somewhere else for the same price. There are four large kitchens and common rooms that seem quite dull. The bathrooms are basic but very clean. They have laundry facilities including a free drying room and excellent disabled facilities. Management are extremely nice.

The Abilities Lodge at the Hanmer Springs Forest Camp has a range of room options, from two beds to enough space for 12 or more in the larger dormitory room. We regularly take groups of people with varying degrees of disabilities to stay there, and it has been absolutely wonderful. Good prices, excellent facilities, wide corridors and doorways, easy walking distance to Hanmer township (about 20 minutes for slow adults).A range of other cabin options also.
