BUG review
This is a nicely maintained purpose-built hostel on the north side of town. It has a huge, fully-equipped kitchen, two big TV lounges with a log fire and laundry facilities. The dorms are modern with clean en suite bathrooms as well as new mattresses. There is free internet access and guests have free use of kayaks. The only downside is the empty space and slightly institutional atmosphere – it needs some warmth. Bed linen costs $2 extra.

Overall a very good hostel, clean and tidy (better than home). Sunny outside dining area, good kitchen facilities! As said small common room and in the same room as the kitchen! Free Internet !
But if you stop in kaikoura, plan you stop here!
