BUG review
This is a good YHA hostel in a lakefront location near town. It is bright and colourful, with photos and maps on the walls and stars on the ceiling in the common room. The common room has big cosy sofas, a good log fire, a piano and a million-dollar view. Dorms are on the small side, but they are clean with metal bunks. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, with a rice cooker and chopsticks; clean bathrooms; internet access ($6 per hour); laundry facilities; a travel desk and smiling, helpful staff.

About BUG's hostel reviews

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

I stayed here with my bf for one night in a dorm room. The room itself was nice, big/clean/bright with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. Staff was friendly, kitchen was clean and well equipped. The hostel is close to the shop, and about a 10min walk to the church of the good shepherd. Unfortunately the day we were there it was over cast and so the lake wasn't a wonderful colour, but never the less the area is still quiet and beautiful. The bathrooms/showers were nice and big (and had hair dryers). Over all a good place to stay (you only really have 2 choices and this is not a bad one.)

It´s the best YHA I´ve ever stayed at. Normally I don´t like YHA´s too much because of its size and unpersonal atmosphere,- but this one is quite different. small, familiar and equipped with love. the turquise lake in front of the door,...

just great...

An outstanding hostel which is not very far away from the city centre. The lounge faces the lake, which provides a great view when you are dinning. They even put guitar and piano there so that everybody can enjoy the lakeview without going outside. It's a place for relaxing and appreciating the beautiful scenery, you should stay in this hostel while visiting here!
