BUG review
The Tolaga Inn (formerly Pacificka Backpackers) is a 1932 Tudor-style hotel with a bar and café on premises. It’s a large, rambling old house with a TV lounge and balcony upstairs and a decent guest kitchen below (with great smells coming from the attached café/bakery kitchen). There’s definite atmosphere here, but the house and furnishings show their age, with worn floor coverings and a generally tired air to the facilities. The bar is one of the more happening spots in this otherwise quiet town.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.
