BUG review
This small backpackers' hostel has only three rooms plus common areas that comprise a TV lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen with an espresso machine. It is a very clean hostel with a warm and cosy atmosphere and a view of Queen Charlotte Sound. It is located right at the southern end of the Queen Charlotte Track so it is a popular spot for trampers walking the track.

This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

We were looking for basic accomodation at a reasonable rate and a base to look around from, and that is what we got. Had everyting we needed plus friendly hosts. I will be going back next time I go south
