BUG review
This unique volunter-built eco-hostel is a great place to stay. It is a sprawling complex that includes a large wooden building with the main common areas along eith some dormitories as well as cabins with additional accommodation. The common areas include a cosy lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen and a nice outdoor area with a seating around a big fireplace/pizza oven. There's no TV so everyone sits around every night chatting, which makes for a great atmosphere. The hostel provides cooked meals (and home brewed beer), which is great as it a long way to the nearest shop. It is accessible only by boat or by a four-hour walk (it is located midway along the Nydia Track) and it is popular with both hikers and environmentalists.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.
