BUG review
Although nothing special compared with some of Picton's more popular hostels,l this hostel overlooking Waikawea Bay, about 5km north of the town centre, is a nice place to stay with a home-style atmosphere. There are two common areas, both have kitchens and the main upstairs lounge is a quieter room with internet access while the downstairs lounge has a TV. Guests have free use of bicycles and kayaks.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

This place is fantastic if you are looking for great scenery and a peaceful time. It is spacious, very clean, comfortable and the family who own it are very friendly and helpful. Despite there being only around 40 beds, there are two spacious kitchens to choose from and 2 nice lounges. They even have a resident cat called Tess (who lives outside, and doesn't come in).
