BUG review
Bakers Lodge is a purpose-built hostel in a nice building. It has a large fully equipped kitchen and a nice wood and brick outdoor common area with a barbecue. Dorms are standard, with bedside lights and nice duvets. Bathrooms are clean, but need an update. They offer tour bookings, laundry, internet access and a TV lounge. It is a good choice for Motueka, but it has that characteristic institutional feel of a YHA. There is a quiet atmosphere here.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

Good little spot, handy for exploring the town and Abel Tasman.. Had no problems here - bathrooms clean (2 of the showers weren't working, leaving 3 that were - not a problem though).

stayed here in a double room, friendly staff, very clean place, great outdoors bbq area - not a party hostel, but a nice place to stay if you are going up to abel tasman national park.
