BUG review
Kaeo Backpackers is a new hostel right on State Highway 10, about 32km north of Kerikeri and 8km from Whangaroa, in the tiny one-street village of Kaeo. It’s above a laundromat and internet shop that also has a pool table. The hostel sleeps 13. One room, called the “woofers’ room” is set in a small cabin outside the main house. The rest of the accommodation is in a simple home with a living room, TV and kitchen. Facilities are basic and reasonably clean. There’s not really any reason to stay in Kaeo, but if Kerikeri and Whangaroa are full, or you just get tired of driving, there it is.
