BUG review
The local YHA is a good quality hostel right at the end of busy Kings Road. It doesn’t have the facilities or atmosphere of some of its neighbours, but it’s a solid option, particularly if you’re looking for less of a party atmosphere. Things are kept clean and well maintained. Dorms feature beds with real mattress and there’s a nice, fully-equipped kitchen. A TV lounge and Internet access are there for guests, as well as free access to the tennis court next door. There is a pleasant outdoor sitting area with a barbecue.

I STAYED HERE IN DECEMBER 05 AND IT IS A VERY GOOD HOSTEL. CLEAN, QUIET, TIDY, THERE WAS A FAMILY STAYING AT THE TIME I WAS THERE. I NOTICED THE STAFF GO OUT OF THERE WAY IF YOU NEED THEM. FRIENDLY STAFF. IT IS A SMALL HOSTEL BUT THAT SHOULD NOT PUT YOU OFF. I STAYED IN A 8 BED ENSUITE ROOM. SMALL BATHROOM BUT CLEAN. STAY HERE AS I WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN GOING BACK THERE. CLEAN KITCHEN.

Spent 4 nights here in a double room, room was very clean, mattress was soft and cosy. Communal facilities were clean, T.V longe has comfy couches, two public telephones, video player, coin operated internet ($2 for 20 minutes). Kitchen is open until 12 Midnight, T.V lounge open until 11:30pm. Laundry facilities may be lacking only one washer and dryer, plenty of clothesline space though.

The lodge offers bike rental for $10 per day, plus is a booking agent for a multitude of activities such as dolphin cruises, fishing, parasailing and quadbiking.

The hostel itself was very quiet, however noise from the SaltWater and Pipi Patch lodges can be heard until the early hours. Close to shop, beach and information Centre.
