BUG review
Just around the corner from all the Kings Road hostels, the Pickled Parrot manages to have a quiet and secluded feel. Facilities include a kitchen and TV lounge and a nice outdoor garden with lots of trees and flowers and a barbecue. There’s a parrot hanging around, but it wasn’t talking when we visited. Guests have free use of fishing gear and free access to the tennis court on Kings Road. Free breakfast is included as well. It’s definitely a more laid-back option than many of the other hostels in town, but still very close to the action.

As a family of 5, I found this hostel very suitable, there were the outdoors for the children to roam about in, bikes to ride, hamock to sleep and swing in. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were aveage but good enough. My only diss would be that the fridges were in bit of a state, but I guess that came down to the guests that left them that way.

Small hostel with ponds and greenery, good outdoor sitting areas & sep. areas with hammocks. A-frame twin rooms we are a walk to the loo and showers but private and layout gives sense of "space". Modern feel, clean and staff were friendly and helpful - as was resident cat. Def. recommend if you want to chill.

This is a nice clean hostel with basic rooms. The breakfast in the morning is great! The only thing I didn't like was having to walk through the courtyard past everyone eating to get to the bathroom. They have nice hot showers though!
