BUG review
This hostel is a small house on a farm overlooking green hills and valleys. With only 10 single beds, which are made-up, it has a warm and cosy ambience. The kitchen and bathrooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained and there is a small common area with log fire and books. The little veranda in front of the house has beautiful views. The rooms are heated and towels are provided for guests. The hostel also occasionally offers animal feeding, and the Purakaunui Falls and glow-worms are just a few minutes away.

Very welcoming and homely atmosphere. Electric blankets, towels, fresh eggs, tea and coffee all provided. Great location for exploring the Catlins and the falls are only a 5 minute walk away. Very friendly and helpful hosts, nearby when you need them but provide all the privacy you can want. As its small you get to know everyone there. Stayed longer than had planned as we just didn't want to leave. Definately the best backpackers we've stayed at in the 2 months we've been in New Zealand!
