BUG review
This hostel is in a quiet area of Waikawa, five-minutes from Curio Bay, and has a summer cottage feel to it. It is cosy and quiet, with a small TV lounge with log fire and books and a very clean kitchen. Dorms have thick mattresses and the beds are made-up with duvets. Bathrooms are clean and there is a nice outdoor garden area. It is just across from the beach and next to the museum and the cheapest takeaway food in The Catlins. It is run by the Catlins Surf School instructor, who can give you good advice on things to do in the area.
