BUG review
Tairua Beach House is a basic wooden lodge with plain white walls and simple dorm accommodation. There’s a plain kitchen and a common room with a pool table, table tennis, a TV and mismatched furniture. Otherwise, there is nothing much in the way of décor or atmosphere here and something feels empty and institutional about the place. Outside, there are fairly extensive grounds with a spa pool and – something we haven’t seen elsewhere – a small cement skateboard park (it’s apparently a holdover from a church/community group that used to own the place). Guests also get free use of kayaks.
