BUG review
The Imperial Hotel is above a bar in the centre of town; it’s not a real hostel, but it does have some share rooms. The place is dark with long hallways and has kind of a spooky, old hotel feel. Most of the furnishings and facilities are dated and tired. There is a small smokers’ courtyard with a barbecue and an outdoor jukebox (a genius idea if you ask us), and there are several internet PCs (Wi-Fi is also available). The downstairs Udder Bar attracts a local crowd and has lots of events like quiz nights and live bands.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.
