Rap, Raft ‘n’ Rock is a very small hostel right off the main road to Waitomo Caves. There are only three rooms – two four-share dorms, and a double room – sleeping a total of 10 people. Rooms are plain and the bedding is a bit tired. The owners run a rafting and caving business on-site, offering special combination packages of adrenalin-pumping activities. There’s also a high-ropes course on the property and a small climbing wall. Hostel facilities are very basic with a small, limited kitchen and TV room with outdated furnishings. Rap, Raft ‘n’ Rock is 8km from Waitomo Caves.
