BUG review
This bright purple building in the centre of town has a good range of facilities. The kitchen is clean and well maintained and there is a large common area with an internet café. It is a bit run down, but manages a good atmosphere since it has a huge bar with TV, pool table, a jukebox, darts, and a free second beer. They also have plenty of free DVDs to watch. Dorms are rather basic and a bit weathered, but the bathrooms are clean. It could use some more renovations, but it is good value.

Absolutely fantastic and warm and welcoming host, Shoshy always makes sure that everything is good. She even gives great advice on things to see and do in the surrounding areas. I would not hesitate to stay there again next time!

Stayed in one of their double room ensuite and it was nice, clean and well maintained. The kitchen area is well equipped and the dining area nice as well.

The best thing about this place though are the owners of the place, they really try to make you feel at home. They come up to you and just chat with you about anything.... even when you run into them around town the stop to say hi and even remember your name!

...ah, and the free beer is a nice plus as well

One of the bests, centre of Greymouth, very nice hosts, very clean, beautiful colours and lots of free stuff. It also has a local bar so we met locals and had a great night in the bar. We came for one night and stayed for 4 (4th night was free!!!). Very recommended

It's one of the best backpackers I've been to in New Zealand. Although it's an old building, the new owners recently renovated the place so the rooms have everything new (paint, beddings, light, etc.). The place is very very clean.

You get one beer free at the bar and you can play pool for nothing.

There are a lot of dvd's to watch and the friendly managers help with travel plans and bookings.

I recommend this place to any backpacker who travels to and in New Zealand
