BUG Review
The Blue Heeler is a big old building in the town centre with a big kitchen, TV lounge, games room with table tennis and a big balcony that looks over the main street. It is pretty clean but parts of the hostel need a bit of work.

Price
Dorm bed $20
Double room $30-40
Twin room $30

Maybe the best memories I have of a hostel in Australia, it is filled with discarded furniture and has hallways and staircases that take days to understand. Great work provided and reasonable prices. Off of the main house, smaller private rooms are available overlooking the courtyard and large meeting place after work on the balcony overlooking the main street. Full of character and somehow inspirational, the Blue Heelers Guesthouse was difficult to leave.

The folks at the Blue Heeler are very friendly and always leave a light on for arriving guests (even at 3 am). There is plenty of room in the kitchen and entertainment rooms for all the guests and a spacious backyard is often used for cookouts. Say hi to the dog, Maggie, when you drop by.
