BUG Review
Kiama Backpackers is a small hostel in a dreary looking brick building with basic facilities that include a small kitchen, TV lounge and internet access. It has a dull atmosphere and a dated feel with old furnishings but it does have a handy location near the train station.

Dorm bed $20

As have been mentioned, the location is very strategic. Literally next to the train station, the beach and town centre all within walking distance. However, the manager itself wasn't friendly at all. Worst of all, my friends and I got terribly bitten by bed bugs. I got more than 70 bites all over my hands, limbs, body as well as neck and chin. The bites will eventually become permanent scars!

i am writing this review at the veru hostel. the location is great, so close to the station and the town centre and the low-key manager is not enthusiastic but helpful enough. it's a brutalist seventies building (oh not it's negative) could have been refurbished, ventilation improved and the facilities may be upgraded including this slow internet connection.
