Merimbula's YHA hostel is a good quality purpose-built hostel with facilities that include a kitchen, a lounge/dining room with a pool table, plus a TV room and another TV lounge upstairs with table tennis. It is located on a quiet street across the lake from the town centre (a 15-minute walk away) and just a two-minute walk from the beach.

Just a 150m walk to the surf beach.The australian wild life is at the back door with kangroo's and much colourfull bird life. There is a museum with a killer whale and how it use to take the boats out to sea with a tow rope in it's mouth. It is on the east coast between Sydney & Melbourne Great hosts Wayne & Betty.
