Unless everything is full and you’re heading this way, Limeburners Lodge is too far away from anything to be worth the effort as you have to take a car ferry to the north shore of Port Macquarie to get here. That said, it is a peaceful retreat set in an old manor house next to a tranquil lagoon. The hostel is under new management and undergoing numerous renovations and improvements. It has a swimming pool, a spa, and a nice outdoor kitchen/barbecue area. Dorms are large and newly redone, with brick walls and clean bathrooms. Unfortunately it attracts a lot of groups, so the social atmosphere is compromised, and there is currently no internet access.
