On six acres of peaceful bush land, Melaleuca offers dorm accommodation with a retreat ambience. The rustic cabins are scattered on the grounds around an attractive main building with a big kitchen and comfortable common room. Bathrooms, which are remarkably clean, are connected to this by way of a boardwalk. The owners are affiliated with wildlife protection, and are keen on introducing you to some of the animals which inhabit the area such as koalas, possums, sugar-gliders, and even a temporary resident kangaroo. It is a five minute walk to the lovely One Mile Beach and a short drive from the Stockton sand dunes.
