BUG Review
The Samurai Bungalows are dotted among three acres of tranquil bush land and offer good quality accommodation with well-maintained rooms and sparkling bathrooms. The shed, a common room decorated with a telly, a pool table, and quirky bits and pieces, is a great place to hang out and has undoubtedly seen some late nights. Other amenities include internet access ($3 per hour) including Wi-Fi ($8 per day), an outdoor kitchen that is a great place for a barbecue plus a beautiful saltwater swimming pool that is a favoured daytime hangout for travellers. The family who own the place are gracious and helpful, and give good travel advice. They share the property with koalas and other wildlife.

the hostel ist set in a beautiful bush with wildlife. The bungalows give a nice cosy athmosphere, different from big anonymous hostels. The very nice, friendly and helpful hosts make you feel very comfortable and welcome. They have good informations on tours and things to do in Port Stephens. This is probably the best place we stayed in Australia!

We planned to stay in Port Stephens for 3 days to watch the dolphins, but from the moment we arrived we knew it would be longer. The warm reception after our mammoth trip from Byron was spot on. The kitchen is superbly equipped. The rooms are very comfy and clean. 'The Shed' provides plenty of entertainment. The hosts are just what you want; friendly, helpful, kind and a great laugh. It ended up being 11 days, but we wish it could have been longer.
