BUG Review
This hostel is a bit rough around the edges, but it has a great location and atmosphere. The Shack restaurant and bar offers cheap food and drinks and a fun crowd gathers in the evenings. The large, breezy common room is a good place to hang out but the rooftop sundeck is better. There are free barbecues on the roof where you have a postcard view of Bondi Beach. Dorms are rather lacklustre but the other facilities make up for it.

Noah's is a fantastic place to meets people. It is in an ideal location, and has a great bar with real friendly staff. Everyone was really welcoming. The rooms are basic but security is good. The Bathrooms were really clean and the showers were brill. The kitchen was ok but the BBQ and the roof terrace is excellent, superb views of Bondi Beach. Tom Thumbs is downstairs and the best pie shop in Sydney, always good after a night out! I would highly reccomend Noah's Backpackers, i had the time of my life here- Thanks so much!

If you want to stay in a hostel with your mates, get pissed every night and stay up till dawn then this is the place to go. Not the worst hostel I've been in, but after a week or so the noise from the drunken louts wedged in every hallway and stairwell gets a bit irritating. The TV lounge is too small (always packed) and is NOT smoke free which is a total pain in the ass when you just want to relax for a while. It could def do with another common room or two, just to get away from some of the tossers that stay here. The kitchen is fine, and the rooftop area overlooking Bondi Beach is a great place to have your brekkie in the morning. The staff are friendly, if not always the most efficient.

A bit more space and a bit less noise and this place would be a LOT better.

Well what can I say?

Having worked in Noahs for about 11 wks, I have a mix bag on the feelings front.

The kitchen has to be the worse kitchen I came across in 2years of travelling (for hostel standards) the rates on the rooms fluctuates depending on who you are when booking in (ladies you get the best deals, how sad is that!)

Make sure you LOCK away ANYTHING that you dont want to be stolen (mostly by the permanent cleaning staff, the afro French guy! Yess you know who you are!)

The travelling/casual staff are friendly and more than helpful, which is more than I can say for the permanent lot, there rude, arrogant and ALWAYS right (yeah right!)

TV lounge, full of wasters most nights, getting drunk, being loutish and loud making a mess that they expect everyone else to tidy up! The dorms, well you might be lucky to get a TV or a fridge, but even luckier if they work. Generally the rooms ok, and if you can get any sleep at night then the room has done its job.

The toilets and showers, after wadding through the destruction and soaking toilet paper from the drunken idiots the night before, the water is normally hot all the time.

But after giving Noaks a hard time above, I met some fantastic people and some of the best days/nights. Its location ways out all the other tribulation

Check out Tom Thumbs Chip Shop under Noaks and say Hi to Les for me.

(The Signage designed by my own fare hands too!)

Regards Blonde Dreads (aka Neil)

After all these are only opinions/ you have live it and make it up as you go along!

Noah is really close to the centre of town, just a 2 minute stroll. The outside terrace is a great place to meet people. I would definately recomend this place if you're traveling on your own .

The place is really clean , the only downside is that they hooer at 9 am in the morning.

So many different people from around the world come here so try to meet as many as you can. The smoke in the TV lounge is annoying but just open the windows for a bit. Kitchen isn't much and kinda gross, but will do for a quick meal. Nightlife is great. There are parties in about 3 different rooms at one time on the weekends, so it can get crazy but I loved it. Pommies pretty much take this place over.

Stayed at the hostel leading upto Xmas. If you want to party then this is the place to come! However, be prepared for no sleep as everyone runs around at night keeping you up. This is not a place to relax, if you want that don't stay in Bondi. The kitchen here is filthy and too small for the hostel. There are hardly any pots/pans or cutlery and you share it with the local pigeons....disgusting. The TV lounge is tiny and overcrowded at night or on a dull day. My advice, stay in Glebe or Newtown.

This hostel had a beautiful view of Bondi Beach, and the staff were really nice, as were the other people staying there. They provide a lot of information if you're planning on moving on around Australia as well as an excellent bar and TV lounge. I'd go back again tomorrow, I loved it!!

This is supposed to be a good hostel, but I wouldn't know.. We booked this hostel about a month in advance to have accomodation when we arrived in Australia. When we arrived, late at night and totally exhausted, they had 'lost' our booking and put us in a crappy hostel down the road (where we had to walk to with our luggage).
