BUG Review
A cheerful, unassuming hostel on a quiet street, Eva's is family run and charming. It has a new, clean kitchen and a bright, sunny dining area. The lounge is really small, but the well-kept rooftop terrace has a BBQ and stunning city views. Dorms are spacious with huge lockers, and the bathrooms are brand new and meticulously clean. Prices are relatively steep, but if you are looking for a comfortable and quiet spot, it can't be beat. Staff are extremely friendly. It is the perfect place for women travelling alone.

I stayed there from 8/13-8/18. There's only one word that could describe it - "Fantastic". The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The room is clean and well-equipped. They even provide free internet as well as shampoo. And I got a 9 dollars discount as a free ride from the airport.

i stayed here in feb for 2 weeks. this was the best hostel in sydney by far. free breakfast and internet usage are included in the price. there is a roof terrace with gas bbqs and a lovely kitchen area downstairs. the staff are lovely - polite, helpful and friendly. the location is perfect, a 2 min walk to the cross and a 3 min walk to the train station. try the q cafe across the road, the owner is fab and the food is great. staying here is a must in sydney.

p.s. avoid the jolly swagman hostel across the road, it is dirty, noisy and unfriendly.

Loved this place! The staff (Vanessa and others) was really friendly och the hostel is spotless. The bathrooms are a little bit too small but it works. The kitchen is really beautiful and the natural place to meet the other people staying at the hostel.

Victoria street is a nice place with small restaurants and if you don´t want to go up to the bohemic (?) Darlinghurst road you can still get that Kings Cross-feeling on Victoria St. Didn´t see an other hostel that seemed better than Evas. Lot of dutch, german and scandinavian people were staying there and you can get a good nights sleep. The rooms hav security locker, mirror and reading lamps!

No noisy british people when we were there.

Very Clean Hostel with lamps by each bed so you can read at night. Bathrooms are small and clean. Small tv provides the basic channels, but common area encourages conversation. Clean Kitchen area with a fridge that is taken care of and non bagged stuff is thrown out. Good quiet location. Gorgeous views of city from rooftop. People seem to be friendly and you don't get the losers who sit around the hostel all day recovering from their hangovers..... This place hit the spot....

it was the first place we stayed in australia and it was a place we really liked. safe and quiet location far enough away from the darlinghurst road! staff were helpful and friendly. the place was clean and we never had to que for the showers. the roof top gdn had great views and the kitchen/common room was a great place to mingle with the other travellers. it was near the station and supermarket and about 15 minute walk into the city! i would recommend eva's any day!
