BUG Review
This backpackers' hostel is a pretty social place. It is a bit dingy in spots, but overall it's not bad. The kitchen doesn't offer much in the way of facilities. Rooms are on the grubby side, but they get better toward the top floors and some are ensuite. There is a cool little courtyard where they have barbecues often. There are no lockers, just a storage room. But reception staff are nice enough, and the TV lounge is convivial.

This is the dirtiest backpackers I have ever stayed at! Stayed for 3 nights, only because cheap deal, and room wasn't cleaned once! When I left, rubbish was overflowing and there were plenty of cockroaches.When I arrived, the place wasn't showed to you until you hade payed. Staff nowhere to be found when needed.Kitchen filthy, hardly any utensils for guests to use.Don't go there!

Stayed for three nights , fantastic time never forget the drinking and fun time out on the balcony and ensuite with strong vodkas. Right in the heart of the cross , not for the timid but great for the rowdy party backpacker. The staff are excellent and are relaxed and with free pickup from airport if staying 3 nites it's a bargain.

this place is GREAT!!!,..it was my home for 5 months......friendly staff, good atmosphere,clean, awesome people and heaps of fun....it has recently been refurbished and looks great!.....i highly recommend it.

I stayed here over the summer of 03/04 and had the best time. The atmosphere was one of the best of any hostel I've stayed in and the staff were friendly and very helpful with work and travel tips. Would definitally stay again on any future trips to Sydney!!!

Where do i start i've stayed in some bad hostels in my 8 months but this was the worst . The free breakfast was a joke and the rooms where dirty and smelt of pee.

This hostel is right in the middle of all the action of Kings Cross which is defenetly something you need to experience if you visit Sydney. Outside the hostel is a mad house but inside the hostel is all about friendliness. They had movie nights and free ice cream, and free hangover pancakes on Sunday mornings. Also free internet all the time and a games room to play board games.

I stayed at the Globe for a total of about 5 months of my year long stay in Oz, and it was the best hostel i stayed in. The staff were freindly and very helpful and it was close to all the action in Kings Cross. This hostel was large enough to accomodate a good cross section of people, yet small enough to still feel homely. This hostel really did feel like my home in Oz, I stayed there on 3 different occasions and every time i went back it felt like i was returning home.

this hostel i stayed in the longest throughout my stay in australia 3 months +, best people, friendly and helpful staff , relaxed rules and excellent value for money. i would recommend this hostel to anyone who is in sydney, only 1 criticism i have of the place is the location, opposite a seedy strip club which if you are a light sleeper then the music pumping out of the club may keep you up some nights but the place more than compensates for it.

You want to pay 200 bucks for a Hotel like the YMCA where you will never meet anyone or pay real bucks for the Globe and take it to the max! I stayed for 3 months and loved and lived it! Kings Cross rocks! You want action, fun, life, love, get to the Cross!
