me and my boyfriend lived here for about 2 months then again for afew weeks on returning to sydney. the one and only reason we stayed here is because double ensuite rooms in sydney are ridiculously expensive and this was $220 a week. sadly, our bathroom door was broke and wouldnt close over (sliding door) so for 2 months we just had a white bedsheet acting as a door, despite complaining every single day. the manager never cared or took notice of us. we had cockroaches. reception was always full of the brits abroad sitting on the stairs smoking pot, these people basically live there for their whole time in oz, some arrived in sydney and had never left the hostel and was now time for them to go home, so you can imagine how bad the atmosphere is.

good point is it is very secrure, you need a card and code to get in the front door and the doors to the rooms are accessed by cards aswell, so no key needed.

i wuld never stay there again, id shell out the extra $200 a week for a better hostel. the rooms were huge though. walked past the dorm rooms, which were always left open and had people sleeping all day long so looked very dark and depressing and did seem very cramped and smelly.
