This is a three-star hotel that has two four-bed dorms rather than a proper backpackers' hostel. It is the best place to stay in Kirribilli, if you can get in. Glenferrie Lodge is set in an old manor house that is beautifully maintained; they offer free hot breakfast and nightly dinners are available in the dining area. There is a lovely garden in the back and it has a good amount of character with stained glass windows and chandeliers. The dorms are cosy and plain white, the beds are of high quality, and each has a small fridge and a telly. There is wireless access at $6 per hour or $15 per day. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood and the staff are pleasant.
