BUG Review
Just opposite the ferry station, this small hostel is dark and run-down. The TV lounge is musty and cluttered with books, old ripped couches and a simple television. This is where everyone (read: a group of surfer guys) gather when they're not out partying. Security could be better; you must ring the bell to get in, but anyone can come to let you in if reception is not around. Dorms and toilets are not very nice but not disgusting. You pay for the location.
Price Dorm bed $25-30 Prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of all taxes.
Reception Open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 8.30am-8pm, Sun 8.30am-7pm

I stayed there for a 3 weeks (Because there wasn't too many options to go to) and It was horrible. The Manly area is great itself, but not the hostels. There was 1 toilette/shower for every 25 -30 people. Noone was cleaning them very well. They had like 15 (so far) rabbits running around on the loose, breeding like mad. Think of all the rabbit sh#$ not being cleaned up and the flea's. There were 5 of us girls in one sm/dirty room, and the manager at the time told us we all had to pack up and be moved all over because they had a kids sports team coming in. In fact the entire hostel of "guests" were moved around with no choice. Now where Im from, If your paid up to stay somewhere, then the room is booked. Who the hell wants to be told to pack up all your stuff and be out by a certain time, and on top of it move back into that room 2 days later???The manager was an grumpy unkept man. There is "NO" security. There was an unknow stealing from peoples rooms, and the backpackers were the ones to help each other keep an eye on who was in the complex. No help from management.In short I felt like I was in a seedy city motel where the room rates are by the hour, and the manager behind the bars was the pimp.GROSS!!

cannot believe they expect people to pay money, and not clean the place. It really is disgusting, I know you can not expect alot when you travel, but honestly, check out some other hostels in manly first.....

Good backpackers that dont mind if you get pissed until 5am
