BUG Review
This hostel is in a nicely restored former prison. Most of the dorms are in old office rooms with high ceilings and large comfortable beds, but they are not particularly clean. The bathrooms are new, with spotless steel sinks and good showers. They have a good outside bar with pool tables and a heated swimming pool where they show movies at night on several large screens. The cells are an interesting place to stay, though there are only a few of them. It is worth it to book into an air-conditioned unit or risk stuffiness and heat. The staff have a tendency to be uncaring and unhelpful. Fittingly, the security here is great.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 3weeks.And were told we would get work straight the way as it was a working hostel it would not be a problem.(great we thought, work for a couple of months on move on)Two weeks into it we still had no work and as the room was costing us $380 a week we had to leave. Also the owners tried to take our key deposits off us for just leaving as we had told them we wanted work! The place is ran by idiots and is so unorganised. Its a shame really because the actual hostel could be really good. But if you want/need to work then dont go to cellblock, Bundaberg.BE WARNED!!!
