BUG Review
Bus Stop is just across the street from the Bundaberg Backpackers Travellers and it has a more institutional feel, with bright blue walls and empty space. The communal areas have old futons, internet and a large TV. The kitchen is spacious but dirty. Bathrooms are filthy. Again, there are mostly workers staying here, so there is no backpacker atmosphere.

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. It is is owned and run by the same people who run the Bundaberg Backpackers, which is equally as awful to stay in. The rent is extortionate considering the lack of facilities and the management are rude and unhelpful. Travellers looking for work are lied to by the owners who guarentee work for all the residents when there are far, far more beds than jobs. The few jobs they have do not pay well and have unreliable hours. Many farmers in the area refuse to deal with this hostel due to the difficulties they have had with the management.

There is also a ridiculous list of hostel rules and breaking one of them results in losing your job and being evicted from the hostel with no refund on any rent already paid. If I were you, I would take note of this review and stay well away from this hostel. I wish I had.

the hostel is cold clinical and large. the people are friendly enough but the atmostphere disappeared when drinking on a saturday was banned. the showers are filthy and ther is never hot water (your lucky if its luke warm) the doors are always left open and it makes it easier to rob. Locals come in and just take your stuff if the door of your room is not locked ( its not a self lock door and the reception never tell you that) if you want the basics at an over rated price ($160 in winter) this is the place for you!!
