BUG Review
The Bellview is an old shabby motel with cheap dormitory accommodation in a few rooms. It has a good location on the Esplanade near cheap cafés, but facilities are limited and there is no atmosphere. The dorms are air-conditioned and there is a nice swimming pool, but the common area is very dated and seldom ever used. The kitchen is tiny and useless, there is no internet access and things are not particularly clean. It is an inexpensive option if there is nothing else and the reception staff are very kind.
Price Dorm bed $19-22 Double/twin room $49-65 Prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of all taxes.
Pros:
Cheapest tours in Cairns.
Cons:
Kitchen is small.

Place is a little old no doubt (kitchen's a little dark) but it's comfortable. Staff are plenty helpful with tours & everything else & are most patient. They never rush. I love the fact that I am not dealing with drones. It is a quiet place despite being sited on the noisy Esplanade itself. Having the Esplanade across the road is a plus.

Bellview has the friendliest and most honest staff of any hostel I stayed in Cairns. The rooms were cleaned every day and it had a very safe and quiet feel about the place while still maintaing a good travellers atmosphere. The best thing I liked about the Bellview was the honest information given about tours. They gave discounts on the tours and the advice they gave us did not appear to be commission oriented as cheaper, local tours were usually recommended.
