BUG Review
This is one of Australia's better Koala hostels. The air-conditioned dorms have kitchenettes, lounges and good beds, but some of them feel more like motel rooms. Bathrooms are spotless and there is a nice garden swimming pool. The only drawback is the kitchen, as it is dirty and poorly maintained with barely any tableware or cooking supplies - not surprisingly, it is right next to the bar and restaurant. The bar does have a good happy hour, though, and there is a relatively good atmosphere here. They also offer cheap internet ($3 per hour), laundry facilities and a tour desk. Reception staff are friendly.

It's clean, it's walking distance to stuff in Cairns, great atmosphere, very relaxed and helpful staff, anytime we had questions or problems they went out of their way to help us. Overall great value.
