BUG Review
This big flash purpose-built hostel has all the mod cons including a bar, swimming pool, beach volleyball court, pool tables, a fully equipped kitchen and several TV rooms scattered throughout the hostel. Everything here is brand new and very clean. It's a long walk from the city centre but there is a courtesy bus into town every hour.

Nice new hostel, far from town though (you get the hostel bus at certain times each day). We had a double room and it was a bit basic - just a window, bed and a locker. The room was clean and it had air con (its free but you had to ask for it to be turned on each day). There is a pool, sunloungers and one t.v in the outside lounge/dining area. Its got internet/payphones and a big tour desk. The Kitchen is new- no ovens just hobs and toaster/Kettle. There are drinks machines/snack machines near the Laundry room (got about 3 machines and 3 dryers. The communal bathrooms are clean with hot showers and big mirrors for the ladies - they are well kept.Nice place but we saw some more exciting hostels in the Town. Cairns does not have a beach : (
Pros:
was like home from home
Cons:
bar didnt open til 5

we loved staying here we had our own double room with lockers and clean towels, this was a party hostel if you want to have a good time then stay here we met so many nice people, the staff are very friendly and you get a free bus to and from town and they have there own excursion office so you can pick your trip and book it we did the barrier reef trip for $60 it was the funniest trip i went on. there is something for everyone and if you dont want to join in the fun, you can just watch eveyone else have a good time. the free meal everynite was better some nites than others but when ya hungry its comfort.
