BUG Review
Fraser Roving is a large building with bright murals, simple dorms and clean bathrooms. The kitchen isn't much, but there is a bar/restaurant on site and it is located on the Esplanade near lots of shops and cheap cafés. They have a nice swimming pool, a mini golf course in front and a barbecue area in a small courtyard near the kitchen. It has a good atmosphere at night in the common area with its pool table and comfortable seating. Staff are warm and friendly and organise daily tours.

Fraser Roving is so very central to everything. I found all the staff to be so very friendly and helpful. They have a great swimming pool, billiard table. table tennis table, a bar and internet access... They also put on an evening meal... One of the very best that I have ever stayed in...

We went to this hosel based soley on the price - best value. We were expecting something rubbish when we saw the little pink bus come to collect form the station! Also since A1 Fraser Roving dont seem to advertise we thought it must be run down or something but its not. We heard constant complaints from other travelers staying at the Koala about it being bad, A1 is just nextdoor and only ever half full. Our room was spotless and we had a table and chairs on the balcony overlooking the highstreet outside our room. The kitchen was big but if you didnt want to cook they had a chef in most nights cooking for travellers for a cheap price. Our room was a little on the small side (it was manageable) but we saw an ensuite room and it was very very big! Altogether it was a comfortable stay and it is a place I would recommend to anyone.

Fraser roving is the best hostel I have stayed in on the east coast backpacker route. It is clean tidy and spacious with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are axceptionally helpfull and friendly, contributing to a relaxed feel. The facilities are excellently maintained, from the pool and spa to the TV and comfy sofa. The hostel offers an excellent booking service for all the attractions of hervey bay including trips to Fraser Island, for which it is a great base. The bar is great for socialising but not a disturbance to those trying to sleep. I will be sorry to leave this place as such a quality package is a rare thing.

The good thing about this hostel is the price. For 20 dollars you find a nice, tidy room. The whole hostel (kitchen, toilets) is pretty tidy. It's a hostel where you easily can meet new friends and have a good drink in the bar. The swimming pool is nice when you're not really keen on the beach. The staff is very friendly and always very helpful towards your questions.

The best thing i think is the fraser island trip they organise. An excellent, enthusiastic briefing plus meeting your 'team-mates' the day before you leave gives you a exciting feeling! It's 3 days of fun: seeing beautiful things, having fun with your team, driving your own 4wd, having a beer before, during and after the barbie . Fraser Island is one of my highlights during my trip, met some great people in my team. Well done, Fraser Rovings!Definitely a must-do .

Gr,

Dennis
