We were planning on staying in Mission Beach for a week but left after three nights as the bed was so squeaky we couldn't sleep! Every single move created a noise!The office was closed for four and a half hours during the middle of the day which isn't very good if you're planning on booking a trip.The room was quite modern and nicely decorated but very dusty and there were loads of cobwebs on the ceiling. The bathroom was the same, we counted ten lived-in-looking spiders at one time!The common area is nice and cosy though, with a good sized TV and nice sofas and we were impressed with the cleanliness and tidyness of the kitchen considering that its open air, but you might be put off by the ants crawling across the worktop.The location is perfect though, a short walk to beautiful Mission Beach and all the coconuts you can eat! Its close to the bars and restaurants as well. The staff were helpful and friendly and we probably would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the bed!

This hostel is in a really great location - it's less than a few minutes to the beautiful beach and the bars and restaurants are very close by. While I was staying there all guests were given a discount card for the adjacent restaurant, which was great - very good food, very cheap!! The hostel itself was nice and clean. I stayed in a large dorm which had a great sperate bathroom. It was kept spotlessly clean and the facilities are good. It's a really friendly and welcoming place to be!

i think they must have done up the place since those last reviews-they do have double and twin rooms,and it is one of the cleanest kitchens i have seen.Brilliant new pool with a waterfall,lovely gardens and freshly painted rooms with modern bathrooms.Definitely not shabby!Helpful,friendly staff as well.

my girlfriend and I intended to stay 2 nights and stayed 8. We just chilled out . The staff were great (hi sybil) and we didn't want to leave. two thumbs up.

a bit old and not in great condition, but loved it all the same. Lovely chilled out atmosphere, nice common area opening onto the garden with sea breezes. Very central location, 30m from bus stop right near restarants / beach etc.

this hostel is dorms only but dont be put off the staff a very friendly and the place is good, right near the beach and restyrants its a must for any mission beach adventurer
