BUG Review
A small hostel always packed with a cool crowd, the Surf n Sun has a great location just steps away from the beach. It has a nice pool with a lounge deck and a TV lounge where everyone hangs out watching movies. The dorms are quite messy and the staff are a bit careless with cleaning, but they all have en suite bathrooms, fans and TVs that show the movies being played in the common room. They offer barbeques and pool volleyball and free use of body boards. This is the place to meet people and party.

 at last a party lively hostel! been here twice and loved it, would recommed to all!
Rooms r nice and good when its mixed  and the staff really pull the strings out to get everyone together and join them in town.. $5 punch nites r worth doing! along with the fancy dressed nites ha ha ha...
Its a shame its a fair walk into town but hey cant have everything, but the beach is just over the road

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed in! The staff are awesome - so friendly!
There is always something going on - every night they go out!
Punch nights - unforgettable! $5 all you can drink!
Very secure and extremely clean!
The dorms are great! 5 share so its not grotty! Ensuite bathroom - how good!? TV within room too!
Theres sunbeds too so was able to top up the tan!
Its a great place and would recommend it to everyone who visits surfers!

Very fun place to stay. 4 or 5 beds in each room with private ensuite, which was cleaned everyday. Fully equiped kitchen with an eating area. Comfy TV lounge with hundreds of DVD's for those hungover mornings. Nice pool out front that is always in the sun. Beach is a minute walk away and only 10 minutes to the city center. Unlimited punch starts at 7 everynight for only $5 (great way to get started on the night) and every wednesday they offer a club crawl that is really really fun. Awesome city to party in and would recommend staying at Surf n' Sun to anyone.

Arrived to a smelling dirty room that had never been cleaned. Ha they say a fully equipped kitchen. One pan!. Oh by the way the hostel always has bed bugs. Don't stay you will hate it.

what a pleasant surprise surf n sun was.i have travelled most of the coast and found most hostels average.but from the moment i got picked up from the bus station to the girls on the desk,everyone was so friendly and made me feel very welcome.im not a party person even though the staff take you out everynight.free dvds to chillout to and the beach across the road.great clean 5 share dorms .

Great place to party, 70s nights, loads of free entry tickets to bars and clubs and as much punch everynight for $5! This is definately the place to say in Surfers for great atmosphere.A little noisy at night, but the rooms, which have just been re-painted all had ensuite showers, the 4 bed dorms are slightly bigger and nicer than the larger dorms, but mostly the same, great price too and they give a little discount to most people with any hostel cards.Great little pool, and TV, DVD collection, and cable TV in all rooms.Would recommend this place to everyone who loves to lie on the beach and by the pool all day, and go out and have a great cheap and free drinks every night!

This hostel was a great place to stay. Every night the staff puts on a wonderful night out in the city (cause hell, thats what Surfers is all about!!!).... such an awesome location... a min walk to the beach, and ten to the city center! The atmosphere is excellent; clean facilities, outgoing staff, a great pool area! They even came to pick me up and drop me off at the bus station. I would definately recommend Surf n' Sun to other backpackers.

Needs updating badly.If you dont care about how clean a place is and just want to get drunk and party then this is the place for you
