BUG Review
This place has gone downhill in the past few years, but there are new owners so it should see some improvements. At the moment, rooms are untidy and beds are old; the kitchen is run down and the bathrooms are rather dingy, too. There is a good common area with a big TV and rows of hammock-like seating, but they too are getting ripped and stained. However there is a good swimming pool and beach volleyball court, and a great bar that is popular with locals on the weekends. The dorms in the bungalows out back are much nicer than the accommodation in the main building.

I had a fantastic time at Banana Barracks, i found the staff really friendly and approachable. I stayed in one on the bunglows, even though it is a bit more expensive than the dorms i found it really worth it as it was much more Quiet and you had access to a bit more personal space if you needed it. Work was really easy to get i drove a tractor on one of the banana farms and also worked behind the bar at rafters. The locals are lovely and give tully a real sense of character. I have been back to Tully twice now and plan to go back for a third time. Make sure you go to karaoke in the top pub on thursday night and rafters on friday night. I would thoroughly recommend stoping in at Tully and Banana Barracks if you are after some work and some fun.

Stayed in Banana barracks last year when in oz, the staff got me work even though there was a banana disease, and there is so much to do in Tully it is no where near as boring as the guide books say, the locals are amazing and make it one of the best places i been to in oz
