You must understand this is a hotel and not a hostel. So there is no kitchen, no lounge room and no atmosphere. But like a hotel, you do have your own room with TV, refrigerator, toilet and shower. A good place to stay a night or maybe two.

With the demise of the Blue Fox, I think this is now the only backpacker accommodation in town. Even so, the hotel is most definitely not a hostel in the usual sense of the word. The "dorms" are rooms containing 2 single beds, with an ensuite bathroom and TV, i.e. more like a motel room, but for a dorm price (I paid $22 and had the room to myself). There's no kitchen (though the pub downstairs serves cooked food) and I don't think there's a laundry either.

Purely from an accommodation point of view, I would stay here again, but if you're looking for atmosphere or the usual hostel facilities then you'll be disappointed. Great value for money, though.
