The Wilpena Pound Resort has a wide variety of accommodation ranging from four-star suites to backpacker dorms and camping. The backpackers’ accommodation is in motel-style rooms that comprise four single beds (not bunks) along with a TV, fridge, and en suite bathrooms in each unit. The self-contained nature of the accommodation means that backpackers are unlikely to socialise with travellers staying in other units. Backpackers have access to resort facilities that include a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. It is very handy to the most important sights in the Flinders Ranges, but you will need to budget the additional national park entry fees as it is located inside the national park.
