BUG Review
Bicheno Backpackers is a small hostel near the town centre with a great cosy atmosphere. Common areas include a lounge with a TV plus a fully-equipped kitchen and a laundry and barbecue area. Accommodation is in nice cosy dorms with curtains for each bed and individual bedside lights and there are ocean views from some rooms.
Price Dorm bed $22-24 Double/twin room $55-65 Prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of all taxes.
Pros:

The staff here were great - and if they are not at reception you can call them anytime from a phone outside the reception area. The dorms are in one building with all its own facilities, so you can easily meet people, and the rooms have a cosy feel. There were lots of brochures to help you plan your trip after leaving Bicheno. It is well located in the town. I would definately stay here again if I was in town!
Pros:
the beds are really nice had the best night's sleep here
Cons:
limited showers

This place feels like you're staying at a mate's house. The kitchen is really clean and has loads of pans and plates. The beds are the best i've stayed in and the owner is friendly. Their dog is really cute too.

Excellent! Paul and Susanne provide a friendly laidback atmosphere. I felt very at home with good cooking facilities, board games, tv and radio. I appreciated the privacy curtains in each bed and enjoyed the cozy sitting space. It's evident that they take pride in their hostel as it is kept in great condition and cleaned very thoroughly!

This is nothing special, but on a positive note it is only a small hostel in a quiet town, and to expect too much would be unreasonable. The beds are good, they even have curtains if you want that extra bit of privacy, and the kitchen is usually sufficient for the number of people staying in the place. Bathrooms good too. You may have to create your own fun here, but there were board games available. A bit of a YHA feel to the place.

It is a clean and cosy place. The new owner-managers, Paul and Suzanne are very friendly. The bathrooms are spotless and there is even a free cold machine wash available. Can get a bit crowded in the kitchen but they have plans to expand so that will be solved in the near future. Recommended.

The owners were very friendly. We stayed in the cabin of the Hostel which was lovely decorated. There was everything, TV, video, radio, microwave, toaster, fridge, milk for the morning. The decoration is not everybodies taste, but they arranged it with love and made a lot of their own.
