This is the best backpacker I have stayed in Tasmania. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The common room is a bit gloomy but the rest of the house is all newly renovated.
The cons: It's quite a walk to the city centre. And you have to pay extra for blankets if you don't have a sleeping bag.

This hostel is pretty basic, the beds are not so great and do not come with any linen. However, the other facilities were ok, especially the kitchen and lounge. There's not much else to do there though.

Located in a quiet street close to the centre of Launceston, the great thing about this backpackers is its cleanliness, big kitchen and recreational areas and proximity to supermarkets and Cataract Gorge. Off-street parking makes this place great for tourists driving around Tassie.

A top place, we found this place by accident and we were not even planning to stay in Launceston. The facilities are great, the prices are really cheap and we watched heaps of their great videos. We ended up staying three nights.

Stayed here for 3 nights and Martin the manager was a nice bloke, very helpful with tours etc. The rooms are clean and the hostel just has a feeling of being very welcoming and friendly. Facilities excellent and in a quiet location, overall a brilliant place to stay.

We checked out all the places in Launceston, this is the cheapest and by a long way the best. What more do you want.
