Bright Hikers is situated on the first floor at 4 Ireland street in the middle of this small town in the foothills of the Australian Alps. It seems to be pretty busy most of the year round with skiing in the winter and a whole range of activities throughout summer, including paragliding, rock climbing, hiking, bike riding (both push and motor) or even just relaxing. It's an independent hostel run by friendly helpful staff. there's free tea and coffee, a BIG kitchen and common room area, book exchange and internet cafe with wireless. The dorms aren't too crowded which was nice and the smaller twin/double rooms looked cosy. The balcony is a fantastic space for your breakfast (not included) or even a BBQ in the evening. During the middle of the day you can swing in a hammock reading a book or just snooze. Reception doesn't open until 10am but generally there's no hurry for you to be out of there before 11ish on the day of your departure, but if you are like me there's no hurry to leave a good thing.

An excellent resort. Host and hostess are most charming and hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble.
