This hostel is in a stunning bush setting, the only sound you can hear are the birds, even though it's close to the shops etc. The rooms, kitchen, bathroom etc are all nice & clean. The only problem is if you're on you're own & hoping to meet fellow travellers, it's really not a good choice!! The only common area is the kitchen, there's no tv lounge & as it's so peaceful it really feels like you have the place to yourself!

Can't fault the place in terms of cleanliness, gorgeous bush setting and excellent facilities. I think the key is in the previous review - "absolutely no party place". It doesn't feel much like a backpackers, I guess. It seemed like I was the only person under 40, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you are.

It's a stunning place and would be perfect for a quiet weekend as a couple, but if you're on your own and hoping to meet other youngish travellers, I think Erskine River might suit you better.

i lvoed this place to death. when i was there it was midweek and very out of season, so town was dead as could be, but could happily have stayed on and on at the hostel. great dorms, warm, cosy, clean kitchens, free laundry, helpful staff, oh just everything about it. it really is fantastic.

This hostel is excellent. All the facilities are very good and the interior has a lot of atmosphere and is cosy. The rooms are absolutely the nicest of all I have stayed in, it felt a bit like home. Kitchen is very well equipped and it I found it great to cook there since everything is so new. Many people extended their stay just like us, because it is really good value for what you pay. It is absolutely no party place, which makes it good to relax and have a good nights sleep and meet some friendly people.
