BUG Review
The Gunn Island Hotel consists of a really nice pub with basic accommodation upstairs. The accommodation definitely takes second-place to the bar and it feels quite dated upstairs although it is kept reasonably clean. Shared facilities include a kitchen, internet access and a TV lounge. It is in a nice neighbourhood with a friendly village feel and is within walking distance to the beach and just a short tram ride to St Kilda or the city centre.

this is a strange kind of hostel its a really pleasant place to stay with a great tv room, quiet 3 bed rooms, friendly staff and a nice pub belowits let down a lot if your wanting a meal or a shower as there was barely anything in the kitchen when i stayed, about 3 forks, a few pans and a microwave but only metal bowls, doh!,the bathrooms are particulary skanky and had some worrying black spiders in the showers which i dont think i ever saw cleaned in 2 months there bar emptying binsit also has a rainwater hole in the ceiling so they just put a beware wet floor sign out rather than fix the hole!it could be really great but it needs claning badly
