BUG Review
This is a clean and well maintained hostel in a house facing the ocean, but the atmosphere can be a bit dead at times. It features polished hardwood floors and new furnishings and there is a veranda overlooking the sea. It is managed by the Port O'Call Motel (37 Lord Street, Port Campbell; % (03) 5598 6206) and you can check in there when the hostel's reception is unattended.

This hostel as wonderful. Clean, great kitchen, comfy beds, even the fact that when I stayed it was overrun with a tour group didn't stop my enjoyement, this place was wonderful!

I too stayed here on a groovy grape tour, and I loved the place. We had the house to ourselves, just across the road from the beach, and it made for a cosy place to stretch out for the night. The lounge could be a bit cramped with a full tour, but we managed ok, and with a warm fire, warm food and a drink it was one of the more relaxed nights I've had while travelling around. The bathrooms were top rate too. getting up in a morning and stepping out the front door is a great feeling, as the sea breeze blows in.

I was only here for one night on a Groovy Grape tour, but I can tell you I would definitely go back. This place is beautiful: hardwood floors, fireplace, bathtub, living room, verandah... it's no bigger than a regular cottage and has the warm vibe of someone's house. All the bedrooms have bunks with pillows and duvets and there's a good kitchen with everything you need. It was freezing cold and raining when I was there but I imagine in the summer it's amazing being right across from the beach.
