I stayed here for 2 nights in the summer of 1998 while travelling with a group of teen-age cyclist. It was clean, secure and had a lock-up for bikes. The food was OK but not great. Be aware that it is right next to a relatively high-speed train that runs into the night. (earplugs??) I loved Melk town square and the various reaturants and the Abbey was awesome.
