We were picked up by Majdas, so no need to spend hours trying to find it. It felt like going into my Nans house, we were given cake and tea etc.... But then you meet all the other backpackers there and its a really laid back place. The Balcony is the perfect place to drink the local 2 liter bottles of beer!

Majdas makes popcorn everynight for people. She knows and can help you with all the bus/train/ferry timetables.

The dorms are not too big and very clean. Showers and toilets also clean.

THE TOUR WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY TRAVELS! We left at 10am and didnt get back to about 7pm! Saw loads of stuff tourists would never normaly see. Excellent day.

Mama is just like everyones Mama! She always makes tea and coffee and cakes no matter how late you come home or how early you get up!

This hostel is superb!

Cons: There is no elevator (or lift for non-north americans) ... just kidding!

This hostel is fantastic, Majda is able to provide you with a wealth of things to see, do, eat, drink, etc., in and around Mostar. The hostel is in an apartment setting and has a very comfortable home-like atmosphere. Majda and her family are overwhelmingly generous to all their guests offering homemade delicacies, tea and coffee. There is a living room, porch, kitchen, computer room and washer\dryer services. This is a serious breather from the typical chain-run hostels you most frequently encounter. It is only 5 minutes from the beautiful city center (Stari Most ... the magnificent bridge) and about a 20 minute walk from the train\bus station but Majda will pick you up! Just let her know where and when your incoming connection is coming from! She can also help you by suggesting and arranging accommodations for your ongoing travels at many other good hostels in the region. You will leave Mostar with the desire to come back ... but with several of your friends!

Majdas Rooms is one of the best hostel's I have ever been to! Not only does Majda pick you up from the bus/train station, but upon arrival you are greeted with coffee or tea and cake! What other hostel has ever done that? Majda gives you a map with an extensive list of great things to do and wonderful places to eat! (I highly recommend Jami Burek!) Majdas Rooms has a great location. Only a five minute walk (not a ten minute bus ride like the previous post said!) to the Stari Most (old bridge) and Old Town. It is really convenient. There are two free internet computers for guests to use. You get the chance to meet other travelers. Majda and her mom are amazing people! I have never met anyone quite like them. They are so friendly and kind, they give you a home away from home! When I come back to Mostar I know exactly where I am staying - Majdas Rooms! You won't regret it!!! - SUGGESTION - use free pick up service!!!!

I absolutely loved it here. Met great travelers and friends but best of all is the family that runs the place. They treat you like one of their own. Amazing hospitality! Its worth the bus ride and a few extra Euros trust me. The free shots and free food make up for it, easily!
