Excellent family run hostels where the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the moment of you arrive. You cant beat a few free shots on arriving at a hostel. The common rooms the familys living room so if you've been travelling on your own for a while and are missing home its probably the ideal place to go. The mum cooks a huge breakfast every morning and will just feed you and feed you if you let her. One of the brothers organises boat trips out to lopud so you can actually go to a sandy beach! Although not near to the old town the bus stops just down the road. Overall given that the only other backpackers is the HI I'd pick here if your going to dubrovnik.
